'Quality Street'
The first meeting of the new 'Quality Street' (the name of the group decided at this meeting!) has now taken place. On the 12th of October between 25 - 30 people made up of members from all of our Networks, a mixture of different staff, and even some Board members thrown in too, attended the launch. A really great turnout!!
The purpose of this group is to improve on the quality of service that Neighbourhood Networks provides and look at new and innovative ways of doing things. The meeting started with a bit of ice breaking fun before the serious discussion started.
The group then divided into smaller groups throughout the day and spent time looking at:
- the feedback from the draft '5 Dimensions Evaluation'
- the new 'Vision' for Neighbourhood Networks' future
- improving and developing our election and selection process for our Board of Trustees
- a question and answer sessions with memebrs and some of our existing & past Board members
- as well as some discussion around producing a dvd on governance
although we all agreed it was a very tiring day with lots of hard work going on, it was also an extremely productive day. We all now have the job to nominate an advocate from each network to bring things to the Quality Street meetings and indeed take things back to their members after meetings.
The next meeting which is open to anyone in the organisation, will take place on Saturday 14th January 2012 from 1pm till 4pm. it will be somewhere in Glasgow and the venue will be confirmed nearer the time.
