Lynne has been involved with the Dumbarton network for two years. She needed help to build confidence to speak to people and meet more friends, as well as support with money management and budgeting.

Lynne was supported to build her confidence and get out more. She also shared her own travel skills helping people to meet up on a day trip to Edinburgh making sure everyone stayed safe. Lynne was also supported to get her paper work in order to help keep on top of her bills.

Lynne now knows a lot more people and is comfortable being around them, for example in busy shops. She is using her skills to help other members with their travel and can take the lead which she didn’t do before. Lynne is also better with her money management and doesn’t buy anything unless she has the money to pay for it.

Lynne’s worker Amanda commented ‘ Lynnes confidence has really improved and she now wants to help others. She takes responsibility for others as well as herself.’

Lynne added ‘ The network has helped me to live more independently by improving my confidence and helping me do more things for myself.’
