Growing up with a cousin with disabilities and seeing the support she received from her staff over the years is something I’ve always wanted to recreate in my professional life.
As soon as I finished my degree in Fine Art I started working with people with disabilities and have previously worked with Barnardos, Enable, Sense and Tiphereth. Straightaway I knew the third sector was where I was meant to be. I don’t see Neighbourhood Networks as just a job, I see it as my future career and I’m very excited to have recently been promoted to Network Manager.
I love combining my creative skills and the experience I have of working with people with disabilities and Neighbourhood Networks is the ideal organisation to do this with.
The role of Community Living Worker is so unique and the positive changes I’ve seen in members in such a short period time is amazing. In my new role as Network Manager, I’m looking forward to being part of shaping the future of Neighbourhood Networks.
I hope to continue improving members lives and working with Neighbourhood Networks for many years to come!
