Emma Ovenstone

Community Living Worker - Dalkeith

I believe kindness goes a long way in life and really look forward to developing my skills further in this role.

My name is Emma Ovenstone and I’m the new Community Living Worker for Dalkeith in Midlothian. At 17 I started off my career as a Dental Nurse in my home town Kirriemuir.  Once I qualified in this field, I decided I wanted to see the world, so I moved to New Zealand – where I lived for 5 years. This is where I learned to be a Snowboarding Instructor. Which is a big passion of mine. For the last 11 years I worked Offshore as a Radio Operator. But decided the corporate environment and working away from home, wasn’t for me anymore. I wanted to find a career where I could make a difference in peoples lives and so here I am working for Neighbourhood Networks.I’m a big fan of Nature, my cat Kiki, my Mountain Bike, Traveling and Music. I believe kindness goes a long way in life and really look forward to developing my skills further in this role.
