Nicola McLaughlin

My name is Nicola and I am the CLW in Cumbernauld.

I joined Neighbourhood Networks in August. Firstly, working in Airdrie, but have recently moved to Cumbernauld.

I have over 20 years’ experience with working in the care sector, during which time, I also gained an HNC in Counselling and this involved, loss and grief, person centred approaches, CBT and I am also trained in suicide assist. I find I can use the skills I have learned in my workplace and my home life.

In my spare time I volunteer at the local foodbank and am currently the longest serving volunteer there now, with over 10 years of experience. I think to help someone else to help themselves is one of the kindest acts.

I am married to Adrian, and Mum to teenage girls Ava and Isla. Our family of four became a family of five when we welcomed Lola, our dog, who keeps us all busy.
