North Lanarkshire Health and Wellbeing Activity
North Lanarkshire Network Members recently took part in the first session of a 4-week Winter Roadshow which will incorporate areas of Health and Wellbeing and Money Management. This has been funded by the NHS health improvement Team. Today’s session was from the Health and Wellness hub, a local organisation who offer holistic therapies and treatments at an affordable price. A practitioner delivered a demonstration on hand massage which allowed members to practice techniques on themselves. This was then followed by an opportunity to receive a hand massage from two therapists. This improves health and wellbeing and encourages members to engage in activities and therapies within their community.

North Lanarkshire networks recently successfully concluded a comprehensive five-week relationship and sexual health training in partnership with Frances McKay from the NHS Health Improvement Team. Each session delved into a wide array of topics essential to fostering healthy relationships and promoting sexual well-being, ranging from communication, boundary setting to safe sex practices. The training undoubtedly made a significant and lasting impact on members, equipping them with invaluable knowledge and the essential skills to navigate relationships and sexual health with confidence and resilience.
