The North Ayrshire Networks rounded off the year with a get together at the new Bowling complex which opened earlier this month. Members peer supported each other in travel, throughout the activity and when we went for some lunch afterwards.
It was also a huge achievement for one of the members who travelled by bus to Irvine. She has been working with her community living worker on her confidence and travel skills, building on smaller local journeys. This was the furthest that she has travelled by public transport in a few years, with her growing confidence and support from her friends we are sure it won’t be last!
Well done to the member, her community living worker and all the peer support provided by the network. Together anything is possible!
