North Ayrshire Health and Wellbeing Activity
Members of the Stevenston and Garnock Valley Networks joined with members of their community at Trindlemoss Day Opportunities in Irvine this week to take part in an Engagement Day organised by North Ayrshire Health & Social Care Partnership and North Ayrshire Learning Disability Service. The ‘What Makes a Good Life?’ workshop and activities centred around Health and Wellbeing, Interests, Independance and Connecting people. With the aim of helping develop better services within communities, members were enthusiastic and happy to get involved! Members also enjoyed meeting new people within their communities.
The Health Improvement lead (Lyndsay Murphy) in North Ayrshire to help develop resources and health sessions for the network members focusing on improving members health and well-being. The team have also accessed the HIT training to further their knowledge on health topics relevant to members.
Garnock Valley network members came together last week to follow Community Living Worker Chelsea’s Facebook Live cooking tutorial for macaroni cheese! They enjoyed learning a new recipe together and sharing their cooking skills with each other. The macaroni was delicious, and everyone enjoyed eating it together afterward for lunch!
