Skills
Essential
• Good communication, interpersonal and written skills.
• Good IT Skills (for both computer and mobile telecom technologies) preferably Knowledge of Office 365 and its functions - Word, Microsoft Outlook and using the calendar functions.
• Self-motivated and the ability to prioritise and organise workload.
• The ability to inspire others and encourage members to work together in groups.
• The ability to set personal and work boundaries.
• The ability to empower parents/carers and build confidence.
• Skilled in strength-based and capacity building practice
• Confident in delivering sessions in-person and online
• Ability to manage boundaries and maintain a preventative focus.
• Competent with digital communication tools.

• Live in the community or surrounding areas of the vacancy or with knowledge of the East Renfrewshire locality. (Must be able to travel within the East Renfrewshire area).
• Good knowledge of local opportunities, community resources, adult services, and independence-building approaches.
• Knowledge and understanding of the issues faced by parents and carers of young people with additional support needs.
• Understanding of transitions to adulthood and related challenges.
